Hardin secures directed verdict of acquittal

She was adamant she had done nothing wrong. When the police arrested her 18 months ago for allegedly appearing in court under the influence of drugs, she hired Dennie Hardin to defend her. In late August, she and her attorney appeared in court for her jury trial. After the government put on its case, Hardin argued that the case should be dismissed because of a complete lack of proof on the elements of the offense. The district judge agreed and directed a verdict of acquittal. The client, who wishes to remain anonymous, was obviously relieved to get her good name back.
